Triple D's Side Load Drill Heads/Sonde Housings are manufactured from 153,000 psi chrome-moly steel for superior strength and durability. The side load feature provides quick and easy field installation and removal of Digitrak Transmitter Sondes and batteries while the paddle bit is attached. All sizes include:
Replaceable tail pieces for long life
Screw-in, heat treated replaceable nozzles for maximum durability and steering
Accepts all styles of OEM type bolt-on pilot bits (paddle bits)
Triple D Lead Rods are made with heat treated 4140 chrome-moly steel for strength and durability, delivering 152,000 psi tensile strength. Triple D also offers high strength 4340 Nickel Steel for select Vermeer Lead Rods, which makes them the strongest standard product on the market today at 182,000 psi tensile strength.
(18) All drive collars are manufactured from heat treated chome-moly steel for durability, and are available with hard facing. The collars are made for Ditch Witch and Vermeer tooling.
(9) All Triple D Drive Chucks are machined from 5" solid billet heat treated chrome-moly steel for maximum strength and performance for both Vermeer and Ditch Witch rigs.
