However, they are also used in overhead and other underground applications that require a reliable, high quality swivel. All swivels in this series use a side mounted grease fitting for easy lubrication and multiple sealing to retain the lubricant and repel external contiminants.
This pullback swivel is specifically designed for small bore Directional Drilling applications. This swivel includes a side mounted grease nipple for easy access without having to remove the clevis pin. Greasing should be done after each use. The Clevis pins are hardened Stainless Steel and are available as replacement kits. This style swivel is the most common type and is the best for distributing side loads applied on the swivel due to its ability to pivot at the other end.
